Happy Valentine’s Day and if you are lucky enough to be born on Valentine’s Day like my husband, Happy Birthday as well! I thought I’d share the Birthday/Valentine’s Day card that I made for my hubby today. I used a number of different products and fun techniques.
To create the background I colored an E sized block with various Stampin’ Write Markers and then spritzed the block with a generous amount of water. Then I carefully placed it onto a piece of Watercolor paper. I love this technique because it gives you a soft pretty blend of color.

Once the background was completely dry, I stamped the “Love you” sentiment from the Hearts of Elegance stamp set in the lower right corner with Early Espresso ink. Then I stamped the script pattern from the Elements of Text stamp set on the left side.
I added a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the back of a piece of vellum and then embossed & die cut it using the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder. I die cut a few other hearts from the set and colored some of the vellum die cuts with the dark Poppy Parade Blends Marker and adhered them. To finish off the card I adhered the panel to a card base with Dimensionals.
