Masculine Typewriter Birthday Card

| | | | |
I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time designing masculine cards. When I saw the colors and pattern on this paper from the latest CTMH Mix-in Paper Packet, I knew it would be perfect to make this 5″ x 7″ card. I layered the 3¾” x 5¾”patterned paper onto a piece of 4″ x 6″ Sapphire cardstock. I used the typewriter Cricut image, one of my favorites from CTMH’s Artistry Cricut Collection and cut it out of Sapphire and Mint cardstock. There is a cute little heart on the top of the paper in the image, but I used the contour tool in Design Space to hide it since I wanted this card to be more masculine.

I stamped the sentiment from the Time to Celebrate May 2020 stamp of the month in Sapphire ink onto the White Daisy cardstock. I thought the sentiment was perfect since looks like a typewriter font. Then I adhered all of the layers together with Thin 3-D Foam Tape and adhered the typewriter to the card base.
Here is a link to the Design Space file if you’d like to make one too. (You will need to either own the Artistry Cricut Collection or purchase the single typewriter image and have a Cricut machine that uses Design Space in order to cut it.) Using different papers and the contour tool to add the heart back in, you could make a more feminine version as well.

  1. Thanks for sharing. You're right. Most of the cards we make are for the females in our lives, but don't forget that men love flowers too. 🙂 Blessings
