Birthday Banner Locker Decoration

| | | | |

Yesterday was my daughter’s birthday and I wanted to leave something fun in her locker at school to surprise her. I made these cute little banners using a banner shape from the Artbooking Cricut cartridge. I cut the shapes out of White Daisy cardstock and Raspberry cardstock and layered them. I added a couple of holes at the top of each banner shape and slipped some White Twine through the holes. I cut the letters (using the alphabet from the retired Art Philosophy cartridge) from a piece of Black cardstock and adhered them to the banner shapes with Bonding Memories Glue. (I love this liquid glue for adhering small pieces like the letters.) I also added a few Silver Glitter Gems.

Since the school does not allow tape on the inside of the lockers, I found a great solution.  I added a little pink Washi Tape to the top of some clothespins and then adhered a magnetic strip to the back.

I clipped a clothespin to each end of the twine. I was able to suspend the banners across the inside of the locker by putting a clothespin on each side. It worked out perfectly. Best of all, my daughter was surprised!
