Frosted Joy Card

One of my favorite new Collections from the Close to my Heart 2013 Autumn/Winter catalog is called Frosted. I love the colors and patterns used in the Paper Packet. This card is one of the projects that I recently created with the new Frosted Collection. I made the base of the 5″ x 7″ card from some Kraft cardstock
The torn notebook paper was cut from a piece of Colonial White cardstock using the image on page 42 of the new Artbooking Cricut cartridge booklet. I stamped the lines using one of the stamp sets that comes with the Artbooking Cricut Collection. The sentiment is from the Laughing Lola Card Workshop on the Go Kit. The stamp says “You can never have too much Happy,” but I masked the word “Happy” and added the die cut word “joy” instead. (You can’t really have too much “HAPPY” or “JOY!” Right? LOL!)
The “joy” was cut from a piece of Kraft cardstock also using the Artbooking Cricut cartridge (page 74 in the booklet.)
I layered the different sized Frosted My Stickease snowflakes by first sprinkling some baby powder on the backs to remove the adhesive. Then I sponged some Cashmere ink on the edges. I added some 3-D Foam Tape to the back of each snowflake and layered them on top of each other. I placed a Sparkle in the center of each one to add a little “bling.”
I finished off the card by creating different sized banner shapes with the various papers in the Paper Packet and adding a Sparkle Flourish on top.

  1. Beautiful! Thanks for the amazing new way to use that stamp! I haven't had a chance to play with this paper yet…but Kraft is going on to the list to use with it now. Gorgeous job with the ink…I could really go on, and on, lol! 😉
