With all of the organizing that I have been trying to do lately, I was happy to see that Close to my Heart came out with a short video today highlighting their awesome new organizers.
I currently have two small organizers, two medium organizers, and 9 craft boxes and am going to be ordering more. They are PERFECT for getting all of my large and small craft supplies organized. The cool thing is that both the block foam insert and the craft box foam insert fit together into one small organizer. I love that when I travel, I can bring them both in one box. Plus the boxes stack perfectly on top of each other, so they store nicely on a shelf.
I need to order a few more of the My Acrylix stamp set organizers as well. (My stamp collection keeps growing!) One of these days my studio will be 100% organized. LOL!
Are you trying to get organized too? Post your favorite organizational tool or tip in the comments below and I will pick one lucky winner who will receive a FREE pack of 3 craft boxes. The winner will be chosen via random.org and announced on October 4th.
Please note that this giveaway is sponsored by Lisa Stenz and not the Close to my Heart Corporate Office or any other Consultant.
Ii find keeping all my essential tools; ie, scissors, cutter, adhesives in my small tote keeps things running more smoothly.
I'm trying to get my craft room organized and can use all the help I can get. My tip is for storing Embossing Folders. I keep mine in a 3 ring binder in photo sleeves 4 to a page. Thanks for a chance to get some storage boxes. Rita
Love the organizers. Sure could use them.
I am working on organizing my studio, too. I am a paper addict and I get really freaked out if my paper has a wrinkle or ruffle on it. So to prevent that from happening, I store my 12×12 paper flat, in drawers that are labeled with each season. And my card stock is stored in hanging file folders, that are labeled with a color swatch. I love to have things organized and looking nice. Thank you for the opportunity to win this awesome prize package!
Knitting is my craft of choice. I use boxes similar to the small containers to hold all of the tiny supplies I use. Photo craft boxes are my "go to" organizing tool: I use them for everything from gadget cables to software discs to games to colored pencils. And more knitting supplies.
Because I don't have a craft room or studio, I need to be fairly compact. I also go to friends' houses to craft a lot, so I wanted to find something handy. I went and found a tool box that fits my paper on top, and all sorts of tools and embellishments in the other drawers. Everything is there and handy and I LOVE it!!
I keep all my my inks in one of CTMH's older plastic storage boxes and I like to keep all of my paper packs in their original bags.
I have always stored brads in tic tac boxes. It's a nice way to recycle them.

I have the marker and ink tower and I'm in love with it!! I also have the new small organizer with 12 craft boxes and the foam insert!! Love it and would like another one and I would like the medium one to! I love to have all my CTMH stuff together.
I have a lot of different projects going on right now and one of things I've been doing to stay organized is to cut the tops off of the CTMH boxes that my orders arrive in (they're about the size of a pizza box). It makes a nice square box "tray" that I can fit all of the parts of my project in and they stack well too.
I use magazine holders for my 12 x 12 paper packs.
I keep CTMH stuff together so it is easily available when I am working on a project. The new storage containers are wonderful for storing larger embellishments that don't fit in the small craft jars. I have one small, one medium but want to add another small at least.
I also use a lot of baskets and repurposed items for storage. I want my scrapbook room to be useful but also attractive. I love being able to find good workable storage that is unique looking. I especially like vintage looking storage items.
I love our stamp set organizers too! But for my "overflow" I have had to resort to a clear plastic 3 drawer on wheels from Walmart. They have a real narrow one that fits our stamp sets pretty well.
I have a lot of punches and store them in an over-the-door shoe organizer that has 24 individual pockets. However, instead of hanging it on the door I mounted it on the wall in my little craft area under the stairs.
I keep my ribbons that are not on spool on plastic embroidery thread holders, then I put all of those in a container, it does help keep everything neat!
My craft area would be a disaster without my peg board and hooks. But my favourite storage idea is my dowel towel holder for spools of ribbon and a chain of shower curtain hooks hung from the ceiling to string loose ribbons through.
I have a bunch of cheap Bygel rails from Ikea mounted on my wall, to hold my punches. They even look nice and I have all my punches at my fingertips and don't need to search several boxes or drawers.
I have a couple of spice racks that spin around on a lazy susan base and I emptied the spices and cleaned the jars and use them to store brads, eyelets, and other mini medley items. They sit on my desk and I can spin them around and with the glass jars I can see exactly what accessory I want to use.
I simply decorated with papers, ribbons and tapes a clean and empty soup can and keep all the little things that tend to clutter up my work space and often "hide" in plain sight that driving me nuts. For papers, I use an Iris rolling organizer with individual 12×12 boxes that close up for easy carrying wherever I may be going (I organize them by type of paper and have one for my scraps.) I love my CTMH stamp organizer. I just got my first one last month and need to order another one! It works so nicely for keeping my stamps organized by type and I also like to keep the ones that coordinate with Art Philosophy and Artiste together, too! I am excited about these new organizers and have a number of them on my wish list!
Unfortunately, organization has always been a struggle for me. Just remembering to put everything away from one project before I start another is helping me. I just need a bigger studio and a custom shelving system (that's all!)
I LOVE the CTMH Ink organizer but to make it even better I attached a few of the 3M™ Command™ Adhesive small hooks on the side and keep my glue dots on them for easy access. For ease in finding the right size glue dot take a permanat marker and make a dot on the white part of the hook the same size as the dots. Like mentined by someone earlier, I too use a peg board system and LOVE it. You can place several hooks, bens and cups on them for extra storage and easy viewing.
Thanks for all you do LISA!!
I love to use my drawers in my desk. I'm a new consultant and I would love to have some!!

I use a spice rack to hold all my CTMH embellishments that are in tubes! Easy to find what I am looking for but love the craft boxes they have now too!!
hi lisa happy friday! thank you for showing the CTMH organizing system! i use baskets that i have collected over the years to keep assorted ribbons, adhesives, tools, etc within easy reach!
I have adapted the idea that is often seen in garages for holding screws and such to hold small embellishments. I place them in old baby food jars. I screw the lids to a shelf hanging in my craftroom and the jars attach below. It looks pretty and inspiring and keeps things within easy reach!
Hi Lisa, I am loving our new storage boxes! I have just moved my crafting area to our basement and I am trying to organize my supplies (I have given a lot to my daughter to use at her house). I can not decide which storage box I like the most. Of course my stamps are in the stamp organizer, but I also use it for my cleaning pad and cleaning srpay. The small one has my stamp blocks in it and I am wanting to try another one with the craft boxes fro my small embellishments. The medium is great for my ribbon and bigger embellishments.
Hi Lisa, great giveaway! I have such a small space that I really need to get organized… All I have is a wardrobe cabinet with some dollar store clear totes, and it's not working the way I had hoped…I'm loving all the idea that people are sharing in the comments… Thanks guys!
Cheers!
Kim
I have my supplies organized in craft cubes. These containers would go well to organize the smaller items though
I have grand hopes for being organized.. My one piece of organization I just love are some wicker boxes I found at Michael's this past spring with a lovely fabric insert – they will hold 15 of our stamp sets without having to be turned sideways or at an angle! Plus I found some beautiful jelly jars that I use to store color families of buttons, a scrap of ribbon tied around the ring of the jar makes them pop on the shelf in my craft room!
I LOVE our new storage boxes! They are so pretty and you can see right through to everything you need. Can't wait to collect them all!
My tips for the day:
1. My husband built a simple shelf up for above my work area, about 2.5 feet up so it doesn't block the light or crowd me in … it is the perfect size for all my Stamp Organizers lined up and they look so neat and pretty.
2. For office/desk clutter, I have designated one open shelf (in my hutch style corner computer desk they are made to fit 8.5 x 11) to each of my major areas of responsibility. One for the Dance School that I run, one for anything CTMH, and one for home. It keeps all the papers off my desk, yet everything is at hands reach so I won't forget to do anything!
And thanks for all the good ideas everyone!!
I always used the round craft jars for storing embellisments.
My best tip for organizing is one that I've seen on other blogs and decided to utilize. I copy my stamps sets and organize the pictures in a 3 ringer binder. I flip through the binder to find the image and/or sentiment. The binder pictures have a note as to where the stamps are stored. So it's much easier to locate what I need.
I love organization but struggle to find ways that work. Right now I would say baskets are working for me. We have a basket for library books, a basket for puzzles, a basket for toys, etc. Thanks for the giveaway!!
Great tips everyone!!!! Keep 'em coming… *Ü*
I saw these in the catalog and think they are great. I have to have things neat in order to get my creative juices flowing! I also love to recycle things so I use a small chocolate tin I saved to put my markers, pencils ect in. It slides right into my draws on wheels so I always know where they are and do not have to hunt for them among other tools.
I have 3 over the door shoe hangers! Inside closet door, outside closet door and behind door to room.lol thanks for the chance to win!
