Here is another project that I made for the Accessories Presentation at the Close to my Heart Convention. This is a “book box” with a stationery set inside. I covered a simple chipboard box with some paper from the beautiful La Belle Vie Collection. I used some of the striped paper around the edges to make it look like pages in a book. The top is embellished with coordinating My Stickease, Gold Mini Medley Accents, a flower from the new Colonial White Rosette Ribbon, and a heart cut from our new burlap ribbon.
I also used the new Artiste Cricut cartridge to make the accordion rosette flower. (Did you know that the Artiste cartridge has SEVEN different accordion rosette flowers on it? LOVE IT!)
The main compartment on the inside holds 12 cards each with a strip of La Belle Vie paper attached with a zigzag stitch in brown thread. The small compartment on top contains 12 more rosette flowers, each with a burlap heart in in the center. When you are ready to put your card together, simply attach the rosette where ever you like on the card and stamp an appropriate sentiment for your occasion.
The set also includes a matching pen. When you use up all of your cards,
simply take out the dividers and you have a decorative storage box that
can be used for just about anything.
This is awesome. I would like to do something similar for my Ustream Class. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Gerriann. I'm so glad you like it. I'd love to see your Ustream class when you do it. 🙂
Oh my goodness! I'm in AWE. I wasn't crazy about that paper at first, but now I see some gifts taken care of for this holiday season. Beautiful Lisa…simply Beautiful.
Thanks Kaycee! 🙂
Very Pretty!!! Love it!
Thanks Eva. 🙂
Gorgeous!
Thanks Pamela. 🙂
I really love this. Did you even fill the pen with a little paper from the La Belle Vie pack? That is awsome!
Thanks Ana. Yep. I added a little strip of paper inside the pen. Sooo easy to do and you can make a pen to match just about anything.
You make the most amazing things!
Thank you. 🙂
Holy cow! I would love to make this. I don't think i am that crafty to figure out how you put it together. Darn! But it is absolutely beautiful. No wonder they asked you to be apart of that board. Cant think of the official name but you know. Great job lisa.
Thanks Dina. You are too kind. I am excited to be part of the new Advisory Board. 🙂
Just beautiful, I don't know how you find these treasures and make something so beautiful out of them. You are an amazing talent. I was so happy to meet you at convention and even get a picture with you. You are one of my very favorite blogs to visit often. Just keep up the great work, I enjoy seeing what you do with the products and it never seizes to amaze me.
Linda McGee
Thanks Linda! You are a real sweetheart! 🙂
I LOVE it! You are fabulous! I really enjoyed your presentation at convention. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise! Do you have instructions for making the insert for the box? I would love to try one!
Thank you for your kind words Diane! You are very sweet. I don't have exact measurements for the dividers for this projects. I sort of just eyeballed it as I went along. (I can tell you though, that my trash can was FULL of dividers that didn't fit when I was finally done with the project. LOL!)
Beautiful box! Is the chipboard box the card box from ctmh?
It looks amazing. It all looks great together. I love the simplicity of the cards too. I was wondering what box did you use and possibly where you got it. Thanks for the inspiration.
