God Bless You Card with Napkin Flower

For some reason Blogger deleted my post from yesterday, so I am going to try to post it again…

This a very simple card that I taught at a church function last night. I taught the ladies how to make a flower using a plain white napkin. We punched the napkin with CTMH’s scallop circle punch 3 times. (Make sure to sandwich your napkin with a piece of copy paper on each side before punching or your punch will jam! Trust me on this one.) Then we poked a hole in the middle of the stack of punched napkins using a Piercing tool. We inserted a white brad in the middle and then scrunched up each layer towards the middle to make it look like a white carnation. If you have visited my blog in the past, you have probably seen my crimped leaves before. We just folded a piece of cardstock in half and ran it through a crimper at an angle. Then we cut a half leaf shape out and when we opened it up, we had a perfect leaf shape. Some of the ladies used a sanding block on the leaves to distress them a bit.

All supplies used from Close to my Heart unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: Card Chatter – Sympathy
Paper: Sweetheart, Pear CS, Hollyhock CS
Inks: Chocolate
Other: white napkin, 2″ scallop circle punch, Sanding Block, piercing tool, white brad, scallop scissors

  1. Lisa, Love the flower. What a clever idea. I was just over at Annette's Creative Journey and she said the same thing about her blog, that yesterday's post went missing, but on each of your blogs I see yesterday's and today's. Blogger is playing tricks.

  2. Absolutely delightful card! Thanks for sharing this — I especially like the flower instructions.

As for blogger, they had maintenance issues late last week and once they were done with that, they failed to get our posts right. It all seems to be okay now.

Thanks again for your wonderful posts!
